Le 17 novembre 2011 – Le Conseil des Canadiens avec déficiences (CCD), organisation nationale de personnes handicapées, œuvrant pour un Canada accessible et inclusif, est alarmé par le cas Carter c. le Procureur général du Canada qui, constitutionnellement, conteste la Loi canadienne interdisant le suicide médicalement assisté. Or, la légalisation du suicide assisté est porteuse d’abus létal.
CCD hopes court will rule no on killing
17 November 2011--The Council of Canadians with Disabilities (CCD), a national organization of people with disabilities working for an accessible and inclusive Canada, is alarmed by the case, Carter v. Attorney General of Canada, which is a constitutional challenge to Canadian law prohibiting physician-assisted suicide. Legalized assisted suicide is a recipe for lethal abuse.

Canadians with disabilities recognize political allies, denounce the 'welfarization' of disability benefits
OTTAWA, ON, November 2, 2011 – The leaders of more than 50 organizations representing Canadians with a range of disabilities are gathering in Ottawa to recognize politicians from across the political spectrum who have helped end the exclusion of people with disabilities from the mainstream of society. At the same time, they will hear from a former Ontario government official about the “welfare-ization” of benefits for people with disabilities, many of whom are forced to live in poverty.
